Abstract

2001 és 2005 között Magyarország mintegy 400 folyóvizében összesen 738 bevonatmintát vettünk, melyekhez 601 teljes vízkémiai adatsor állt rendelkezésre. HIDROGEOKÉMIAI jelleg vonatkozásában elkülönítettünk különleges sajátságú vizeket, alátámasztottuk a tipológiai rendszer szilikátos/karbonátos megkülönböztetését átmeneti jellegűekkel együtt. | In approx. 400 streams 738 diatom- and 601 water chemistry samples were taken and analyzed in the period 2001-2005. Concerning HYDROGEOCHEMISTRY streams with extreme features were separated and we supported the typological distinction between siliceous and carbonaceous streams (with overlaps ). Relationship between slope of the river bed and species number was explored. ANTROPOGENEIC impacts are manifold. It is manifested in temporal increases of salt-, inorganic nutrient- and organic contents each well reflected by the indices included in the OMNIDIA software. Of the available OMNIDIA indices, the IPS is suggested for use in Hungary. Quality ranges of the IPS were established for three main river types (high slope, medium slope and slight slope). On this basis quality map of Hungarian streams was compiled. Among human impacts, hydromorphological modifications are the most important and some of them were characterised on basis of diversity and species number of the diatom assemblages. Proportion of planktonic/attached species is also indicative and we managed to designate some indicator species. Being very abundant, Achnanthidium minutissimum is of special importance. According to our studies, the species indicates natural disturbances therefore its high abundance cannot exclude establishment of reference states. Floristic data were evaluated on basis of their importance in conservation biology. Models were develop that allow estimation of pH and total P on basis of diatom assemblage composition.
