Abstract
Guidelines for architects regarding a qualitative approach to building design often conflict with design or client interests. Here are examples of a chief architects assessment of commonly occurring situations ranging from debates about impulse, symmetry, location or even practical issues of how to place a garage. Can a guidebook, which is not really meant for architects alone, stand as a dress code,or source of inspiration, or even as a cultural tool.
