Abstract

A pályázatban megjelölt kutatási témám a 20. századi magyar zenetörténet egyik jelentős fordulata, a hatvanas évekbeli zenei megújulás kérdését vizsgálta. Céljaimnak megfelelően megkíséreltem meghatározni a különböző zeneszerző-nemzedékekhez tartozó alkotók reakcióját a megváltozott stiláris kontextusra, zenepolitikai helyzetre. Elemeztem az idős Kodály Zoltán viszonyát az új zenéhez, feldolgoztam három, a Kodály-iskola második nemzedékéhez tartozó komponista, az újító Szervánszky Endre, a kibékítésre törekvő Dávid Gyula és a konzervatív Járdányi Pál válaszát a megváltozott zenei környezetre, a Zeneakadémia könyvtárának és a zenei szaksajtó adatainak alapján feltártam az új zenei repertoár fogadtatását Magyarországon, és elemeztem a fiatalabb nemzedékek, az úgynevezett Harmincasok, különösképpen Durkó Zsolt, valamint a későbbi Új Zenei Stúdió tagjainak pályakezdését. Tanulmányt-előadást írtam a Darmstadti Nyári Új Zenei Kurzusok magyarországi fogadtatás-történetéről, illetve Pierre Boulez magyarországi zeneszerzői recepciójáról. Több előadást és tanulmányt szenteltem a Kodály Zoltán halála után, a mester emlékére keletkezett kompozícióknak. | I examined one of the most important turns of the 20th century Hungarian music history in my research period, namely the question of the renewal in Hungarian music between the years 1959 and 1972. My aim was to describe the reactions to the modified stylistic context and music political situation of different generations of composers. I analysed the old Zoltán Kodály’s attitude toward new music, I worked up the musical answers to the changed situation of three composers, who all belonged to the second generation of the Kodály-school: the innovator Endre Szervánszky, Gyula Dávid, who strived for reconciliation, and the conservative Pál Járdányi. I examined the reception of the new music repertoire in Hungary analysing the sources of the library of the Academy of Music and of the musical press, as well as the start of the career of the generation born in the thirties and forties, above all the carees of Zsolt Durkó and of the represantatives of the New Music Studio. I wrote papers and studies about the Hungarian reception of the New Music Courses in Darmstadt and about Pierre Boulez’s compositional reception in Hungary. I devoted many papers and studies to compositions which were written after Kodály’s death, to the memory of the master.
