Abstract

A huszonegyedik század elejére az irodalomtudomány határai elveszítették határozott körvonalukat. A jelenkorban a kölcsönhatás rendkívüli módon fölerősödött az irodalom és a szellemi élet más területei között. A pályázatot lezáró tanulmánykötet (A kultúra átváltozásai. Kép, zene, szöveg) tanulmányai azt sugallják, hogy az irodalom értelmezése része lett annak, amit a művelődéssel foglalkozó tudományként (cultural studies) lehet jellemezni. Írás és kép, kitaláltság (fikció) és történelem, művészet és eszmeiség (ideológia) elválaszthatatlan egymástól. Az egykor öntörvényűnek vélt irodalomról bebizonyosodott, hogy ki van szolgáltatva eszmei s politikai irányzatoknak, ideológiai alakzatoknak. Magától értetődik, hogy a szigorú értelemben véve nem irodalmi összefüggésrendszerből kiinduló tudományközi (interdiszciplináris) vizsgálódásoknak lehetnek kockázatai, de senki nem vonhatja kétségbe a fiatal tudósoknak a jogát ahhoz, hogy szerteágazó s kényesnek hitt kérdéskörök tanulmányozására vállakozzanak. Valószínűsíthető, hogy a pályázatot záró kötet szerzői tovább fogják mérlegelni azokat a jelenségeket, amelyekkel eddig foglalkoztak, miként az is, hogy a kutatócsoport együtt marad. | By the beginning of the 21st century literary theory has lost its solid borderlines. There is a growing interdisciplinary influence and interdependence between the divergent fields of the humanities. The studies of the present monography (The Transformations of Culture: Image, Music, Text), which was issued within the framework of our project, reinforce this observation: they suggest that the interpretation of literature became an indispensable part of the so called Cultural Studies. Writing and image, fiction and history, art and ideology are inseparably intertwined within the cultural field. The idea of the self-substantial and self-supporting literary field turned out to be a fallacious one, since the literary is subjected to political?ideological flows and changes. Suffice to say that there are risks in such an interdisciplinary research which transgresses the frameworks of the literary in the examination of primarily literary phenomena, but the right to such transgression cannot be put into doubt, even if the questions thereby raised are unusually divergent or they touch on delicate matters. It is most certain that the young researchers of the project will work on these problems and therefore they will develop and refine their presented ideas in an oncoming research project in the future.
