Abstract

A 2002-2005. közötti időszakban sikerült a pátyi telepásatás 1997-1999-ben feltárt objektumainak részletes leírását, leletanyagának ismertetését, korszakonkénti összefoglalását elkészíteni. Ebben korszakonként elkülönítve ismertetem a telep életét, kezdve a késő kelta, még római foglalás előtti periódussal, befejezve a hunkori, avar s Árpádkori leletekkel. Ezen belül az egyes objektumokat forma - kőépület, földbemélyített ház, gödörház, kemence, tárolóverem stb. - alapján csoportosítottam. A telep szerkezetének vizsgálatakor sikerült külső kerítésfalakat, kövezett útrészleteket, a telep szélét övező tároló s szemétvermek sávját, házsorokat, ipari tevékenységet folytató objektumokat s nagyobb kőépület csoportokat elkülöníteni. A temető feliratos sírkövei alapján főleg a telep korai, kelta eredetű lakosságáról nyerhetünk információkat. A leletanyag ismertetésén túl a feldolgozás legfőbb eredménye egy újabb, nagykiterjedésű, patakparti település, un. vicus bemutatása s elkülönítése a régebben villaként nyilvántartott kőépítkezésektől. Ezzel újabb ismereteket nyertünk mind a pátyi, mind a tágabb Aquincum környéki, római kori településrendszerről. | Between 2002 and 2005 the detailed description of the site remains and finds of the excavation of Páty site of 1997-1999 was completed successfully with chronological summary. The representative pottery and metal finds of every site object were drawn and organized into print layouts both by site objects and by types. These were supplemented by the descriptions of the special find types like coins, terra sigillatas, sealed pottery, hand-made pottery and animal bones. It includes 600 drawings and 400 find photos altogether. The purpose of the competition was the preparation of a complete study of the site which reviews its life in different periods, from the pre-roman late-Celtic phase to the finds of the Hun, Avar and Árpád periods. The site remains were identified by forms like stone buildings, semi-subterranean houses, subterranean buildings, ovens, storage pits, etc. During the examination of the structure of the site different functionalities were assigned to special structures: surrounding walls, paved road fragments, bends of storage and dust pits at the edge of the site, house rows, industrial functionalities and big stone building groups. The gravestones with inscriptions mainly provide information about the Celtic origin residents of the early site. Besides the review of the finds the main result of the study is the introduction of a new, wide 'vicus' at the bank of the stream separated from the registered 'villa' type stone buildings. The results enriches our knowledge of the roman age settlement pattern around Páty and Aquincum.
