Abstract

Összefoglaló ''Az élő retorika. Retorikai fogalomrendszerek relevanciája az irodalmi művek befogadásában'' A kutatási program első szakaszában (Hagyományok) terveink szerint elvégeztük a klasszikus és az "új" retorika alapműveinek áttekintését és feldolgozását, a második szakaszban (Stratégiák) megalkottuk azt a stratégiai rendszert, amely működőképessé tette az elméletek statikus kereteit, a harmadik szakaszban (Olvasatok) pedig működésbe hoztuk a retorikai alapú olvasási szabályrendszereket. Az elsősorban a metaszemémák (eminensen a metafora, metonímia és szinekdoché) által működtetett tropológiai eljárások (az értelmezés tropológiája) mellett a szöveg materialitására alapozott hypogrammatikus olvasási stratégiák bizonyultak hatékonynak. A kutatás negyedik szakaszában (Megértés) a huszadik század magyar irodalmának meghatározó alkotásainak (elsősorban József Attila, Mikszáth Kálmán, Ottlik Géza, Mészöly Miklós, Esterházy Péter műveinek) értelmezései részben és jótékonyan módosították mind az elméleti keretet, mind a működőképes stratégiákat. Nyilvánvalóvá vált, hogy a különböző retorikai eljárások nem egymást kizáró szisztémák, sokkal inkább egymásra épülő és egymást segítő olvasási módszerek. A kutatás négy éve alatt négy konferenciát szerveztünk, kiadtunk négy könyvet (két fordításgyűjteményt, egy konferenciakötetet és egy tanulmánygyűjteményt), s projekt résztvevői közül négyen sikeresen védték meg doktori disszertációjukat. | Summary Report "The Living Rhetorics. The Relevance of Rhetorical Concepts in the Reception of Literary Artifacts" We surveyed and worked up the basic works of classical and "new" rhetorics in the first phase of our research (Traditions). We created the strategical system that realigned the static frames of theories in the second phase of our research (Strategies). In the third phase (Readings) we applied the conceptual systems of reading. Tropological methods (the tropology of interpretation) actuated by metasememes (especially metaphor, metonym and synecdoch) and hypogrammatic reading strategies based on the materiality of the text turned out to be the most effective reading strategies. In the fourth phase of our research (Comprehension) the interpretations of determinative artifacts of 20th century Hungarian literature (principally works by Attila József, Kálmán Mikszáth, Géza Ottlik, Miklós Mészöly, Péter Esterházy) partly and beneficently modified both the theoretical frames and operable strategies. It became evident that the various rhetorical strategies are not mutually exclusive but rather reading methods that build upon and aid each other. During the four-year-period of our research we had organized four conferences, we had published four books (two volumes of translations, one conference volume and one collection of essays). Four participants of the project had gained doctoral (PhD) degree.
