Abstract

Bár műfaj és adaptáció egyaránt a filmesztétika alapfogalmai közé tartozik, az elméleti szakirodalomban a filmes műfajok, valamint a filmadaptációk kutatása hagyományosan ritkán találkozik egymással. A tematikus szám ezért arra vállalkozott, hogy a két jelenség közötti kapcsolódási pontokra világítson rá esettanulmányok segítségével. Jelen tanulmány a fogalmak közös vizsgálatának lehetőségeit veti fel, kiemelve az ilyen kettős fókuszú kutatások hasznát az adaptációkutatás és a műfajelméletek szempontjából, valamint egyúttal a szám bevezetőjéül is szolgál. | Although genre and adaptation are both key terms of film aesthetics, we can hardly find research that shows an interest in cinematic genres and film adaptations at the same time. The current thematic issue of the journal therefore intends to point out meeting points between the two phenomena with the help of case studies. This article investigates the possibilities of a joint examination into the two terms, emphasising the advantages of such dual-focus research, both from the viewpoint of adaptation studies and genre theories; at the same time, the article also serves as the introduction to the thematic issue.
