Abstract

The beaver expands successfully in Southern Transdanubia (Hungary). Around ten years ago the first trace signals were explored along the River Kapos, near Kaposvár. Enriching the fauna of the region, the beaver appeared along the Brook Deseda too in November 2016. Beaver log chews are founded under the reservoir area. It would be necessary in the region to monitor the expansion of the species. Illustrated with 4 figures.
