Abstract

Let A be a prime C ∗−algebra that contains a non-trivial projection and η be a non-zero complex number that | η |6= 1 and ψ be the η-Jordan ∗-derivation map on A, that is, for every A, B ∈ A, ψ(A η B) = ψ(A) η B + A η ψ(B) where A η B = AB + ηBA∗ , then we show that ψ is an additive ∗-derivation map.
