Abstract

A kutatás során a kisebbségi nyelvet még beszélő, de a közösségek zártságának felbomlása miatt asszimilálódott településeken kutattuk a kettős identitást. A vizsgált öt kisebbség esetében mindenütt jelen van a kettős identitás, de nem egyformán zajlanak le az identitásalakulás és az asszimiláció-disszimiláció folyamatai, más hatásokra érzékenyek és sajátos egyéni módon élik meg magyarországi életüket. Másként érzékelik a magyar nemzetet, és másként vázolják fel hazaképüket, ebből következően identitások struktúrája sem azonos. Az önkormányzatok mindegyik kisebbségnél jelentős identitáserősítő szerepet töltenek be, amire ráépül a kultúra megőrzésének elkötelezett szándéka. A nyelvi asszimiláció miatt az anyanyelv az etnikai identitásban mindenütt jelentőségét veszti. Ezt pótolja a kultúra területén a népi hagyományok őrzésében és ápolásában manifesztálódó etnikai identitás. Az identitásőrzésnek ez a formája minden generációban, de leginkább a fiatalabbaknál vehető számításba; esetükben a hagyományok már csak a színpadon előadva élhetők meg; a nyelvtanulás, és a múltra való emlékezés pedig a nemzetségi iskolákban, már ahol van, iskolai tananyaggá vált. Az tapasztaltuk, hogy a kettős identitás konstrukciója a tényszerűen tapasztalható asszimiláció és a nemzeti szocializáció ellenére az etnikai identitás fontossága felé billen el. A fiatalabb generációknál ez az identitás új táptalajon új gyökereket hajtva igyekszik szervesülni. | We researched the double identity on settlements where the mother tongue of the minorities was still spoken but because of modernization population was assimilated. Among the five minorities the double identity is all over present but formation of identity and processes of assimilation-dissimilation are different; minorities are sensitive to other impacts and experience their life in Hungary on different ways. They apprehend the Hungarian nation differently, and imagine their home other way; so the structure of their identity is not the same. Minority self-governances have an important role in strengthening the identity and form a base for preserving the culture. Because of assimilation of language mother tongue looses its importance. This loss will be compensated by an ethnic identity manifested through preserving the ethnic culture and traditions. This form of representing ethnic identity can be observed in all generations, but is most striking in the younger ones, where ethnic identity can be represented only by performing traditions on the stage. Mother tongue and remembering the past, i.e. the history of the minorities will be taught at school, where it could have been organized at all. We have experienced that in the construction of the double identity, in spite of assimilation and national socialization, ethnic identity is more important. This identity strives to form an integral and organic part in the whole identity construction based on new foundations.
