Abstract

A Debercsény-Mogyoróson felszínen gyűjtött anyag eltér az eddig megismert cserháti bifaciális leletegyüttesektől: tipológiailag a szlovákiai és morvaországi levéleszközös („Szeletien”) csoporthoz kapcsolható. A Bükkből és a Zempléni-hegységből származó kőeszköz-nyersanyagok felhasználása azonban megegyezik a területről eddig megismert leletegyüttesek esetében megfigyeltekkel. | The small assemblage from Debercsény-Mogyorós (Cserhát mountains, northern Hungary), yielding several characteristic tool types, on typological ground differs from the recently discovered Late Middle Palaeolithic bifacial industries of the Cserhát area and can be compared to the open-air Szeletian sites of Slovakia, Moravia and Bavaria. From the territory of Hungary single pieces from Szob, the Jankovich cave, furthermore from Miskolc and Sárospatak, finally the recently excavated site of Korlát are linked to this entity. The site of Debercsény has a topographical significance also, as it is lying in the poorly known northern part of the Cserhát mountains, belonging to the watershed area of the Ipoly/Ipeľ river. In spite of the geographical and typological differences the presence of the felsitic porphyry and the different obsidian variants in this assemblage show for the same long distance connections as it was indicated in the assemblages of Galgagyörk, Legénd and Vanyarc. The reduced number of the felsitic porphyry artefacts (three retouched tools, one flake and only one chip), imported from 100 km, is considered as having a cultural significance: although this raw material was reported even from the Moravian and Slovakian Szeletian sites, the intensity of its use decreased even on the site of Korlát, lying 40–50 km from the source area.
