Abstract
The legal , organizational and IT challenges in the daily practice of the condominium communities are constantly changing. These changes are particularly important in Hungary because one fifth of the population lives in condominiums. Advances of information technology influenced these communities of condominiums and made them a leader for smart cities, but there is still work to be done. This paper analyses the market conditions and legal and economic constraints of condominiums. The focus of this article is l egislative regulation, personal data protection and legislative surveillance. Data protection issues were analysed with empirical analysis.
