Abstract

Áttekintő tanulmányunk a daganatos betegségek szemszögéből veszi sorra a poszttraumás növekedéssel — mint traumát követő kedvező pszichológiai változással — kapcsolatos tényezőket. Ez a traumával való küzdelem során elért fejlődés jelentősen átrendezheti a személy hiedelemrendszerét, prioritásait, kapcsolatait, saját erejével kapcsolatos érzéseit, és új irányokat jelölhet ki a személy életében. Mivel a gyermekkorban és felnőtt korban átélt daganatos betegségeknek eltérő következményei lehetnek, fontosnak tartottuk mindkét csoport vizsgálatát. Az áttekintés a daganatos betegséget traumának tekinti, s a betegséggel kapcsolatos specifikus jellegzetességek mentén mutatja be a poszttraumás növekedés fogalmát, folyamatát és vizsgálati lehetőségeit. Fontos célkitűzésünk, hogy a poszttraumás növekedés folyamatjellegét megragadjuk, előrejelző tényezőinek áttekintésén majd integrálásán keresztül. Bemutatásra kerülnek a poszttraumás növekedést befolyásoló egyénen belüli és szociális faktorok, valamint a traumatikus stresszorral (betegség) kapcsolatos tényezők is. Fontos tehát, hogy a kedvező pszichológiai változásokat és a betegséggel kapcsolatos stressz tüneteket együtt vizsgáljuk. Kitérünk a gyermekkorban diagnosztizált daganatos betegséget átélő felnőttek vizsgálatára is, áttekintve a gyermekkori daganatos megbetegedéssel járó pszichológiai tényezőket mind a gyermek, mind a szülő szempontjából. Tárgyaljuk, hogy a jövőbeni kutatási irányokat tekintve, a tanulmányban áttekintett tényezők integrált vizsgálatára lenne szükség. A tanulmány célja, hogy felhívja a figyelmet arra, hogy minél többet tudunk azon tényezőkről, amelyek a betegséghez való kedvező pszichológiai alkalmazkodást segítik, annál hatékonyabb pszichológiai intervenciók tervezhetőek. | Our review paper discusses factors related to posttraumatic growth (positive psychological changes after trauma) from the perspective of cancer. The personal development can occur as the result of one’s struggle with the trauma rearranging the system of personal beliefs, priorities, relationships, feelings about their own power and may appoint new directions in a person’s life. Since childhood and adulthood may have different psychological patterns experienced during cancer, it was important to examine both groups. The review considers cancer as a trauma, and introduces the concept of posttraumatic growth through the specific characteristics of the disease. Our main aim is to reflect on the process underlying posttraumatic growth, through reviewing and integrating related factors. We outline personal and social factors influencing posttraumatic growth, as well as factors related to the traumatic stressor (cancer). It is therefore important to examine at the same time the positive psychological changes and the stress symptoms associated with the disease. The review consists of psychological factors associated with childhood cancer from the point of view of the now adults and their parents. We propose, that the future directions of research should examine the factors that are presented in the study integrated. The review is designed to draw attention to the fact that the more we know about the factors that promote a positive psychological adaptation to the disease, the more effective psychological interventions can be designed.
