Abstract

Two Heliotropium L. species ( H. europaeum L. and H. hirsutissimum Grauer) were examined morphologically, micromorphologically and anatomically. Scanning electron microscopy was used to examine the fruits surface of this species. Differences were found among the seed surfaces. In anatomical studies, cross sections were taken from the roots, stems and leaves. Glandular and eglandular trichomes were examined. In both species, there are multicellular and unicellular glandular and unicellular eglandular trichomes. Eglandular trichomes have bulbous trichome base. In addition, the stomatal index and index rate of two species were calculated.
