Abstract
A new species of the genus Chiococca (Chiococceae, Rubiaceae) is described from the region of Izabal, Guatemala, having hairy purple corolla and long, multiflowered racemose inflorescence with very tender, hairy axes. Chiococca gracilis sp. n. differs from the other purple flowered species C. rubriflora and C. paroiflora with many characters.
