Abstract
Two new species Xylosma nipensis (Flacourtiaceae) and Psychotria acunae (Rubiaceae) are described. In preparation of a monographic treatment of the Rubiaceae family of the Cuban flora consisting of 85 genera 485 species and 30 subspecies, two subspecific taxa is elevated into species rank ( Coccocypselum glaberrimum , Phialanthus bissei ) and some new combinations effectuated in the genera Diodia , Palicourea , Psychotria and Rondeletia .
