Abstract

Az európai radikális irányzatokon belül a szélsőjobboldali és szélsőbaloldali pártok vizsgálatára koncentráltunk, amelyeket a hazai szakirodalom nem tárgyal érdemben. Azokra a pártokra azonban kevéssé tértünk ki, amelyek a magyar szakirodalomban visszatérően szerepelnek (Le Pen, Haider pártjai). Viszont kitértünk a francia és olasz szélsőbaloldal és szélsőjobb olyan új politikai szervezeteire és irányzataira, amelyek új megvilágításba helyezik a két ország pártrendszerét és a szélsőségesség politikai kritériumait is. Az elkészült tanulmányok egy része már megjelent tudományos szaklapokban (Politikatudományi Szemle, Central European Political Science Review), másik részüket pedig már elfogadták megjelentetésre. Bár az időközbeni pénzügyi megszorítások miatt kevesebb ország pártrendszerét tudtuk vizsgálni, ezzel együtt Olaszországon és Franciaországon kívül a következő országok kerültek vizsgálatunk középpontjába: Németország, Svájc (utóbbit eredetileg nem is terveztük), Kelet- és Közép-Európa új demokráciái komparatív metszetben, ezen kívül Spanyolország és Oroszország. Összehasonlító kutatásunkat Magyarországra is kiterjesztettük, s ebben a témakörben két tanulmány is megjelent (illetve megjelenés előtt áll) a Politikatudományi Szemlében. Kutatási eredményeinket folyamatosan publikáljuk és az egyetemi politikatudományi oktatás részeivé válnak. Kutatásaink eredményei a politikai döntéshozók számára is hasznos háttérinformációként szolgálhatnak. | We have concentrated on the study of the extreme right and extreme left parties within the radical trends which are not meaningfully discussed by the local literature on the topic. We have dwelt less upon parties that recurrently figure in the Hungarian literature (parties of Le Pen and Haider). We have gone into detail about those new political organisations and trends of the French and Italian extreme left and extreme right that place the party systems of those two countries as well as the political criteria of extremism into a new light. Part of the papers already written was published in scholarly journals, others have been accepted for publication. Though we were able to study the party systems of fewer countries than planned originally as a result of financial restrictions, yet the following countries were placed in the focus of our study besides Italy and France: Germany, Switzerland, the new democracies of East and Central Europe in a comparative framework, and we also studied those of Spain and Russia. We have extended our comparative studies to Hungary, too, and two papers were published (or about to be published) on this topic in the Political Science Review. We continuously publish our research results and hopefully they are becoming part of university education in political science. In our view the results of our researches may offer useful background information to the political decision-makers as well.
