Abstract

As an outstanding example of BREEAM standards this office development, comprising of two buildings on a 3.2 hectare site, strives to revitalize the heart of the city. Aside from moving the building cores to the perimeters the inclusion of artworks including Cristina Iglesias’ “Forgotten Streams” assists in the definition of public spaces. The latter idea exaggerated by the central Vortex, use of curved timber shells and glazed lifts. The overall intention is to animate space and increase the chance of meetings and informal discussion.
