Abstract
Tabán, a part of the rural town of Monor suffers from serious poverty and unemployment issues offering the project architect an opportunity to expand on his role as an educator at the Budapest Technical University in developing ideas along the “Think Global, Build Social” path. Here a small bakery had the fortune to be a growing success story, with very little space to operate from, doubling its staff from 3 to 6. Relocation was not an option; therefore rethinking the available building became a core to this project. Previously working from 12 sqm the bakers now have a 22 sqm workplace as a result of innovative thinking and the proactive input of the construction camp team.
