Abstract

A pályázat célja a számos történelmi, politikai és gazdasági szállal összefonódott Magyarország és Ausztria viszonyának a lehető legteljesebb forrásbázison történő feldolgozása a második világháborút követő majd fél évszázadban. A kéziratban elkészült dokumentumkötet az 1945 júliusa és 1990 januárja közötti időszakból 131 iratot tesz közzé magyar és osztrák levéltárakból. A források és a több mint 300 lábjegyzettel alátámasztott bevezető elemző áttekintést ad a bilaterális kapcsolatok fejlődéséről. Arról a folyamatról, amelyben 1964/1965 után az osztrák koalíciós pártok által egyöntetűen támogatott rendezési szándék és a kádári külpolitika kitágult mozgástere megnyitotta az utat a jó szomszédi viszony megalapozásához és fejlesztéséhez. Az 1980-as évekre a magyar-osztrák kapcsolatok különleges jellegűvé fejlődtek, ami ugyan nem válhatott modell értékűvé a szovjet érdekszféra kötöttségei miatt, de alapvetően megkönnyítette Magyarország számára az évtized végén bekövetkező demokratikus rendszerváltást. A munkát annotált névmutató, bibliográfia valamint az 1945-1990 közötti eseménytörténetet feldolgozó kronológia egészíti ki. | The aim of the project was to elaborate the relationships between Hungary and Austria in the period after the World War II. The two countries were united by thousand bonds of history, economy and culture. We aspired to elaborate these relations on the bases of archival sources as wide as possible. In the manuscript involved 131 documents from Hungarian and Austrian archives from 1945 to January 1990. The archival sources and the historical introduction, provided with more than 300 foot-notes, give an analitical review about the progress in the bilateral relations, about that process, in which the intention for regulatation supported by all Austrian coalition-parties and the extended scope of actions of the Kádár-regime after 1964/1965 opened the way for the establishment and development of neighbourliness. By the 1980-ies the Hungarian-Austrian relationhips became specific relations. Whereas they – because of the restrictions of the Soviet zone of interests – could not serve as model, after all they make easier the democratic transformation for Hungary in the end of the decade. Annotated index, bibliography and chronology about the events from 1945 to 1990 also supplement the manuscript.
