Abstract

Fire protection issues of monument building structures Architectural fire protection design is an interdisciplinary field: through fire protection regulations, it is of decisive importance for the architectural design of buildings, the sizing of load-bearing structures, and for mechanical and electrical systems. In the case of monuments, compliance with fire protection regulations requires further consideration, especially in the field of building structures, as the scope and extent of interventions impacting existing structures to be retained for posterity is limited or not possible at all. The question is, how can the expected level of security be achieved regarding monumental buildings?
