Abstract
Social-economic circumstances, altered with the democratic transformation and revived arguments on traditional and modern female roles. Employment and unemployment, social mobility, division of labour inside families become determining factors in the life-strategy of individuals and families living in different regions and settlements. Relations between the sexes and the role of the gender connection between women and men were revalued.
