Abstract

Az Európai Unióban széleskörű vita folyik az állami szuverenitás jelenlegi szerepéről és jövőbeni fontosságáról. A kulcskérdés a nemzetállamok szerepe az interdependens szuverenitás további fejlesztésében. Ez a tanulmány kapcsolódik a vitához a magyar állami szuverenitás és a szuverenitás etnikai hátterének történeti áttekintésével, annak néhány összefüggésére összpontosítva az elemzést. A tanulmány célja, hogy hozzájáruljon az Európai Unióban folyó nemzetközi vitához a történeti adalékok elemző-értékelésével a magyar etnikai identitás és az állami szuverenitás történelmi trendjeiről és arról, hogy az európai hatalmak hogyan mutatják be a magyarságot és hogyan értékelik a magyar állam szuverenitását. = There is a broad debate in the European Union on the present role of state sovereignty and its importance in the future. The key question is the role of nation states in the further development of interdependent sovereignty. This study joins the discussion by giving a historical overview of Hungarian state sovereignty and its ethnical background, focussing the analysis on some of the implications. The aim of this paper is to contribute to the current international discussion in the European Union by analysing and evaluating historical additions on the historical trends and ex-ternal views of European powers on Hungarian ethnicity and Hungary’s state sovereignty.
