Abstract

This paper provides data on 26 Ephemeroptera, 10 Odonata and 3 Plecoptera species from the upper part (from Ipolytarnóc to Balassagyarmat) of the Hungarian section of the Ipoly River. From faunistical point of view, the following species are the most remarkable: Centroptilum nanum, Ecdyonurus insignis, Paraleptophlebia werneri, Ephoron virgo, Brachycercus harrisellus, Torleya major (Ephemeroptera) and Rhabdiopteryx acuminata (Plecoptera). Data of some other aquatic insects (Heteroptera: Aphelocheiridae; Coleoptera: Gyrinidae, Elmidae, Dryopidae) are also given.
