Abstract
Variations of the psychedelic experience. The article aims at a phenomenological analysis of the psychedelic experience. It presents different „types“ of psychedelic visions, their formal and substantial variants and associates them with figures and moments in the history of philosophy. It also discusses that illusions, according to these visions seem to belong to a separate ontological domain.The author underlines the pioneer role of Lajos Horváth and Attila Szabó in applying the phenomenology of Husserl and Merleau-Ponty systematically and fruitfully to the psychedelic experience in philosophy and psychology.
