Abstract

Jelen tanulmányban megemlékezünk gróf Hugonnai Vilmáról, az első magyar orvosnőről, akinek Svájcban szerzett diplomáját csak 20 évvel később nosztrifikálták hazájában. Gyermekkora óta orvos akart lenni, de már tanulmányai megkezdése is akadályok elé állítja. Anyagi támogatás nélkül, nélkülözve végzi orvosegyetemi tanulmányait. Diplomáját nem fogadják el itthon, a támadások kereszttüzében, szülésznőként kezd el dolgozni. 20 év küzdelem után kapja meg az orvosi praxisához a jogosítványát, mely idő alatt a hazai nőmozgalom vezetőjévé is válik. Gyógyít, oktat, iskolát alapít, könyvet ír, kiáll a nők felzárkóztatásáért, a nagy háború idején betegellátóhelyeket szervez a sérült katonák részére. Kettős évfordulója kapcsán a Hugonnai – 100 rendezvénysorozattal is elhivatottságát, kitartása emlékét őrizzük. = In this article, we commemorate Count Vilma Hugonnai, the first Hungarian physician whose degree in Switzerland is not certified in her homeland until 20 years later. He has wanted to be a doctor since he was a child, but he is already facing obstacles in starting his studies. He carries out his university studies without financial support. Her diploma is not accepted at home, she starts working as a midwife in the crossfire of the attacks. A`er 20 years of struggle, she receives her license for her medical practice, during which time she also becomes the leader of the Hungarian women’s movement. He heals, teaches, founds a school, writes a book, stands up for women to catch up, organizes patient care facilities for injured soldiers during the Great War. We preserve the memory of his vocation and perseverance, and in connection with his anniversary, we will head to the exemplary life of the Hugonnai – 100 series of events.
