Abstract
The geographical location of the area largely determined the development and expansion of the medieval civitas. Székesfehérvár [in short: Fehérvár] is situated on island-like elevations at the junction of depressions formed by two perpendicular faults in the southern opening of the Mór valley towards Mezőföld.
