    Abstract
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of EJC, I share some problems close to my heart. They relate mainly to two areas I became acquainted with more than 50 years ago during my years as a student at the Eötvös University, Budapest. I was fascinated by Ramsey theory learned at the course of Vera T. Sós and the notion of perfect graphs and related structures learned from Erdős and Gallai. I was also impressed by the early developments of hypergraph theory led by Berge and his French school. © 2023
