Abstract

The author investigated the fauna of the butterflies in a small protected area in Somogy county, in the Csombárd-meadow Nature Conservation Area. During the 2-year research, 53 species were recorded, including 15 protected. No exceptionally valueable species were detected, although populations of several regionally significant butterflies were found. Besides, the faunistic, ecological, population-dinamical and conservational evaluations are given.
