Abstract

E közlemény Marsigli 1690/91-es gyergyószárhegyi áttelelésének legendájával foglalkozik, melyet a szakirodalom a bolognai rovásemlék ottani eredetének egyik közvetett bizonyítékaként kezel. Marsigli valójában 1690. december közepétől 1691. február végéig Görgény várában tartózkodott. A cikk részletesen bemutatja Marsigli 1690/91-es erdélyi tartózkodását, valamint azokat a háborús eseményeket, amelyek arra ösztönözték a grófot, hogy az Erdélybe bevezető kárpáti szorosok 1690. október legvégén megkezdett lezárása után 1690. december közepén biztos helyre vonuljon vissza. Ennek kapcsán a közlemény felhívja a figyelmet arra, hogy a Veterani és Thököly csapatai közt 1691. január 2-án Törcsvárnál egyes publikációk által vélelmezett összecsapásra nem került sor. A cikk leírja, hogyan alakult ki Marsigli 1690/91-es gyergyószárhegyi áttelelésének legendája, bemutatja az ezzel kapcsolatos filológiai ellentmondásokat, illetve felsorakoztatja a Marsigli görgényi áttelelése melletti filológiai érveket, majd ennek közvetlen bizonyítékát is. A cikk közli a bolognai rovásemlék 684. verso oldalán található szöveg teljes helyes átiratát, és megerősíti azt a korábbi szakirodalmi megállapítást, mely szerint a feljegyzés a Gyergyó és Moldva közti szorosok listája. Ennek a rovásemlék keletkezése szempontjából annyi relevanciája van, hogy eszerint a rovásemlék feljegyzésére Marsigli (valószínűleg 1690. november végi – december eleji) gyergyói tartózkodása alatt vagy azt követően került sor. Az eddigi, téves szövegértelmezéseken alapuló feltételezésekkel szemben Marsigli nem töltött hónapokat Gyergyószárhegyen, de a gyergyói határátkelők lezárásáról szóló kontraktus szövegéből, illetve a határátkelők listájából kiindulva valószínűsíthető, hogy járt ott. Az írás végül áttekinti Marsigli nyomtatásban közreadott kéziratainak Gyergyóval kapcsolatos passzusait. Közülük felhívja a figyelmet arra az 1698-as javaslatra, mely Gyergyóban egy új erődítmény (Georg Schloss ’Gyergyóvár’) létesítését kezdeményezi, illetve Dél-Magyarországon és Erdélyben a szorosok, illetve a fontosabb folyóvölgyek közelében Újlak (Ilok), Josephstadt néven Arad, Eleonorastadt néven Várhely (Sarmizegetusa) és Siebenbürgische Leopoldstadt néven Földvár (Feldioara) mellett további négy hasonló – részben a császárról, a császárnéről és a trónörökösről elnevezendő – erősség felépítését indítványozza. = This paper deals with the legend of Marsigli’s wintering in Gyergyószárhegy (Lăzarea) in 1690/91, which is considered in the literature as one of the indirect proofs of the local origin of the Bologna runiform inscriptions collected by Marsigli. Actually, Marsigli did stay in Görgény Castle (Gurghiu) from mid-December 1690 to the end of February 1691. The article describes in detail Marsigli’s stay in Transylvania in 1690/91 and the events of the war that prompted the Count to retreat to safety in midDecember 1690, after the blocking of the Carpathian passes leading into Transylvania, which began in late October 1690. In this connection, the communication draws attention to the fact that the clash between the troops of Veterani and Thököly at Törcsvár (Bran) on 2 January 1691, alleged by some publications, did not take place. The article describes how the legend of Marsigli’s wintering in Gyergyószárhegy developed, presents the philological contradictions and lists the philological arguments in favour of Marsigli’s wintering in Görgény, and then provides the direct evidence for this. The article provides a full and correct transcription of the text on verso page 684 of the Bologna runiform inscriptions and confirms the earlier finding in the literature according to which the note on this page is a list of the passes between Gyergyó (Giurgeu) and Moldavia. From the point of view of the origin of the Bologna runiform inscriptions, the relevance of this is that they were written during or after Marsigli’s late November – early December 1690 stay in Gyergyó. Contrary to previous assumptions based on erroneous interpretations of the text of Marsigli’s autobiography, the Count did not spend months in Gyergyószárhegy, but at Görgény, nevertheless it is likely that he visited it, based on the contract text on the closure of the border crossings at Gyergyó and his list of mountain passes. Finally, the paper reviews the passages in Marsigli’s printed manuscripts relating to Gyergyó. Among them, it draws attention to the 1698 proposal for the establishment of a new fortress (named on Marsigli’s map Georg Schloss ‘Gyergyóvár’) in Gyergyó, and besides Újlak (Ilok) in southern Hungary, and in Transylvania near the passes and the main river valleys, at Arad under the name Josephstadt, at Várhely (Sarmizegetusa) under the name Eleonorastadt and at Földvár (Feldioara) under the name Siebenbürgische Leopoldstadt, which would be named after the emperor, his wife and the heir to the throne.
