Abstract
Surveying the three periods of the foreign policy of King Louis of Hungary, the paper attempts to clarify the circumstances of the royal summit that was allegedly held in 1356 in the city of Győr. It comes to the conclusion that the summit was certainly not held at Győr, but probably at Buda, where the King of Hungary hosted Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor and King of Bohemia, as well as his spouse and the imperial chancellor. Albert II, Duke of Austria, was only represented through his envoys.
