Abstract

Gazdaságtörténeti különlegessége van a jelenleg is zajló dezinflációs folyamatnak. A 2020-as évtized olyan inflációs periódussal kezdődött, amelyet 50 éve nem láthattunk. A 2020-as infláció gyorsan alakult ki, de sikerült rekordidő alatt megtörni. A Központi Statisztikai Hivatal mérése (KSH, 2024)1 szerint Magyarországon a fogyasztóiár-index növekedése 2023. januárban tetőzött 25,7%-kal az előző év azonos időszakához képest. Az áremelkedés növekedésének ütemét 10 hónap alatt egyszámjegyűvé, majd év végéig 5,5%-ra sikerült leszorítani. Az élelmiszer-infláció 2022. decemberben 44,8%-on érte el a csúcsát, mely közel a tizedére zuhant egy év alatt (4,8%). Az infláció gyors megtöréséhez a jegybank és a kormány intézkedései mellett a Gazdasági Versenyhivatal (GVH) célzott beavatkozásai is hozzájárultak. A tanulmány a nemzeti versenyhatóság inflációellenes munkájának bemutatására vállalkozik. = The ongoing disinflationary process is a unique occurrence in economic history. The decade 2020 began with a period of inflation not seen in 50 years, which developed quickly, but was brought under control in record time. According to the Hungarian Central Statistical Office (KSH, 2024)1, the growth of the consumer price index in Hungary peaked in January 2023 at 25.7% compared to the previous year. The rate of price increase was reduced to single digits within 10 months and to 5.5% by the end of the year. Food inflation peaked at 44.8% in December 2022, falling to nearly a tenth in one year (4.8%). The rapid breakdown of inflation was due to measures taken by the central bank and the government, as well as targeted interventions by the Hungarian Competition Authority (GVH). This study presents the GVH’s anti-inflation work.
