Abstract

Tanulmányunkban egy, a 2011-ben népszámlálási adatokból becsült „roma kötődésű” népesség 2050-ig tartó előreszámítására teszünk kísérletet. A roma kisebbség egyes csoportjai nem csupán tradíciókban, kultúrában, viselkedésben, életmódban térnek el a többségi társadalomtól, de a főbb demográfiai paramétereik is jelentősen eltérnek a többségi társadalom mutatóitól (pl. termékenység, halandóság). Az ország lakosságszáma 1980 óta csökken, a halálozás meghaladja a születések számát, ellenben a romák esetében még mindig természetes szaporodásról beszélhetünk. Ez azt eredményezi, hogy a magyarországi népességben a romák aránya folyamatosan nő. Ezért kiemelten fontos annak ismerete, hogy a jövőben mi várható ezen speciális népcsoport esetében. Az általunk kidolgozott forgatókönyvek folyamatosan növekvő, de közben mérsékelten öregedő népességet vetítenek előre. Az előreszámítás alapváltozata szerint a 2011. évre becsült 554 ezer „roma kötődésű” népesség száma 679 ezer főre emelkedhet 2050-re. Így a „roma kötődésű” népesség aránya Magyarországon 9% is lehet 2050-ben. A legalacsonyabb változat szerint 654 ezer, míg a legmagasabb változat szerint 805 ezer „roma kötődésű” személy fog élni Magyarországon 2050-ben.. Minden korcsoportban emelkedik a „roma kötődésűek” aránya az össznépességen belül. 2011-ben a megszületett gyermekek 11,9%-a volt „roma kötődésű”, 2050-re ez az arány akár 12,4%-ra is nőhet az alapforgatókönyv szerint. | The purpose of this study is to forecast the number of Roma population from Hungary until 2050, based on the estimated number of population with Roma affiliation in 2011, from the 2011 census. Some groups of the Roma ethnic minority not only differ from the majority society in traditions, culture, behavior and lifestyle, but also their main demographic parameters differ significantly from the indicators of the majority society (e.g. fertility, mortality). The country’s population has been decreasing since 1980, deaths exceed the number of births, but in the case of the Roma, we can still speak of natural reproduction. This results in the increasing proportion of Roma in the Hungarian population. Therefore, it is extremely important to know what to expect in the future for this ethnic group.The scenarios we have developed project a population that is constantly growing, while also moderately aging. The number of population with Roma affiliation was estimated to be 554,000 in 2011. This number will be 679,000 in 2050 according to the basic version of the Roma population forecast. Following this forecast version the proportion of population with Roma affiliation will be 9% in Hungary in 2050. The number of population with Roma affiliation will be 654,000 in 2050 according to the lowest scenario of the population forecast and it will be 826,000 in 2050, according to the highest scenario of population forecast. The proportion of population with Roma affiliation will increase in all age groups. In 2011, 11.9% of children born were children with Roma affiliation; by 2050, this proportion may increase to 12.4% according to the base scenario.
