Abstract

A cochlearis implantáció (CI) egy egyre szélesebb körben alkalmazott hallásjavító eljárás. Habár sok esetben valóságos csodaként tekintenek rá, több kutató felhívja a figyelmet a lehetséges veszélyekre is. A jelen tanulmányban ismertetett kutatás célja az implantáció előnyeinek és korlátainak minél szélesebb körű áttekintése, valamint a magyarországi implantáltak mindennapi tapasztalatainak, lehetőségeinek és nehézségeinek a megismerése. Egy metaelemzés keretében a tanulmány áttekinti a nemzetközi és a hazai szakirodalmat és internetes forrásokat. Ennek eredményeire építve interjúk készültek orvosokkal, illetve implantátumot viselőkkel és/vagy családtagjaikkal. A vizsgálat erre a két forráscsoportra támaszkodik, és az elemzésükből leszűrhető legfontosabb tapasztalatokat ismerteti. Cochlear implantation (CI) is a more and more widely used hearing loss treatment. Although in many cases it is considered as a miracle, researchers also draw the attention to its possible dangers. The aim of the research presented in this study is to provide a wider overview of the advantages and limitations of the implantation and to introduce the everyday experience, opportunities, and challenges of people with implants in Hungary. The study outlines the international and Hungarian literature and internet sources in a metaanalysis. Based on these results, doctors, and people with implants, and/or their family members have also been interviewed. The investigation is built on these two source groups and it describes the most important conclusions.
