Abstract
In late autumn 2023, this article commemorates the centenary of the death of Sándor Giesswein, whose career is linked to Győr, where the idea of Christian socialism was first introduced to our country 120 years ago. I note that the article itself not only summarizes the decades of work of the founder of this idea in Győr, but also deals with other prominent representatives whose lives are also connected to Győr: Margit Slachta, Móric Esterházy and Vilmos Apor, who founded the predecessor of the KDNP.
