Abstract
Since the 1990s, regime change has brought radical changes in almost every respect in Hungary. The legal culture, the legal socialisation and the legal consciousness of Hungarian society were also transformed and shaped. In the present study – without attempting to be comprehensive -, I have examined some of the more important Hungarian research on this topic, paying particular attention to the focus groups, the types of questions and the topics through which the researchers have tried to explore the current state of Hungarian legal consciousness.
