Abstract
In introduction, the certified translator introduces the development of her relationship with Andrea Papp in a personal tone and explains how she became involved in seminars in a Transylvanian university. The present paper reports on the correction and discussion of a translation task given by the Hungarian guest teacher (her husband) for students of translation at the university in Marosvásárhely. The detailed assessment of the students’ homework (translation of a selected part from a novel in English into Hungarian) includes general comments on translation, typical misunderstandings of words and sentence structure as well as on the best Hungarian translations of sentences that several students misinterpreted. All these are arranged in tables.
