Abstract
In addition to unraveling the layers of the concept of Volksgemeinschaft, the study aims to show, through the publicistic activities of Gusztáv Gratz, the president of the Hungarian German Folk Culture Association (MNNE), how Gratz interpreted the idea of the German Volksgemeinschaft, how he related to it, and what consequences this had for the conflicts that developed within the MNNE organisation.
