Abstract

A Marcal völgye a magyarországi viszonyok között fejlettnek tekinthető észak-nyugati országrész leszakadó, belső perifériája, amely a területfejlesztés által kezelendő, fejlesztési beavatkozások tervezésére alkalmat adó térségi értelmezésre támaszt igényt. A folyó déli vízgyűjtőterületén fekvő Devecseri, Sümegi, Zalaszentgróti és a Vasvári járások jelentős gazdasági és társadalmi problémákkal küzdenek. E járások alapszintű vizsgálatához a szerzők a Regional Scorecard (RSC) módszertant alkalmazták. E módszerrel rávilágítanak arra, hogy a problémák milyen területi kiterjedéssel és rétegződéssel jelennek meg, valamint a további vizsgálatok irányának meghatározásához lehatárolják a célterületet. | The Marcal valley is a detached, inner periphery of the north-western part of the country, which can be considered developed in terms of Hungarian conditions. The Marcal valley requires a regional interpretation to be managed by regional development and provides an opportunity to plan future development interventions. Attention-grabbing economic and social problems can be seen in the districts of Devecser, Sümeg, Zalaszentgrót and Vasvár located in the southern water catchment area of the river. The authors used the Regional Scorecard (RSC) methodology during the basic level examination. With this method the authors highlight the territorial extent and territorial stratification of the problems and delimit the target area in order to determine the direction of further investigations.
