Abstract
Electricity is needed for the operation of additional infrastructures to support farming. Generating electricity separately from the public grid and providing it from diverse sources means high reliability for self-sufficient and sustainable crop production. This article presents an architecture optimized for efficiency and cost in terms of heat and electricity supply for a small scale, off-grid greenhouse.
