Abstract
This paper presents the design of a Nixie tube clock as an educational tool for teaching key concepts in electronics, embedded systems, and programming. By combining vintage Nixie tube displays with modern microcontrollers, students gain practical experience in circuit design, voltage conversation, digital control, and timekeeping algorithms. The project enhances hands-on learning, encouraging active problem-solving while exploring the evolution of display technology. Additionally, the integration of retro components promotes sustainable engineering practices. Initial results suggest that this approach improves student engagement and understanding of electronics and computing fundamentals in engineering education.
