Abstract

A tulajdonnevek közé új névtípusként bekerült a tárgynevek kategóriája a helyesírási szabályzat 12. kiadásába. Az AkH. 12. 171. szabályzati pontja foglalkozik a tárgynevek helyesírásával. Ebben követi a 2004-ben már az Osiris Kiadónál megjelent kiadvány (Laczkó–Mártonfi 2004: 175−8) főbb típusait. Tanulmányomban az új tulajdonnévi névcsoportba tartozó tárgyneveken belül a magyarországi mozdonyok és mozdony kocsik neveivel foglalkozom. A mozdonynevek között előfordulnak hivatalos nevek, illetve becenevek is. A gőzmozdonyok névadási jellemzői kezdetben egyedi nevek voltak, főként helynevek szerepeltek átvitt névadással, néhány személynév is előfordult. Később, a tömegtermeléssel a hivatalos elnevezés inkább a típus és szám megjelölést részesítette előnyben, ekkor már inkább a becenévadás jellemzőit figyelhetjük meg a mozdonyok nevei között. A mozdonynevek helyesírása követhető az általános helyesírási szabályok szerint. Az egyedileg adott tulajdonnevek nagy kezdőbetűsek, akár átvitt tulajdonnevek, szónevek vagy jelnevek, egy- vagy többeleműek: Kati, Gigant, Bivaly, Prüntyőke, Hrus csov Dízel, Matricás Taurus. A mozaikszavak alapján alkotott nevek pedig a betűszók írásmódját követik: FLIRT, TRAXX; illetve a szóösszevonásét: Radony, Talent, Balcsi-Mot. | The 12th edition of Helyesírási Szabályzat (Orthographical Regulations) has included the category of object names among the proper nouns as a new type of name. Rule nr. 171 of the Regulation deals with the orthography of object names. It follows the main types of an earlier edition which was published by Osiris Publishing House in 2004 (Laczkó–Mártonfi 2004: 175–8). In my paper I deal with the names of locomotives in Hungary, this category belonging to the new category within the proper nouns. The names of locomotives include both official names as well as nicknames. As far as the naming of steam engines is concerned, in the beginning it was characteristic to give them unique names, which were usually metaphorical, containing toponyms, and sometimes anthroponyms. Later, in the period of mass production, the official name consisted of the type and number, and this is when one can observe the appearance of nicknames. T he orthopgraphy of locomotive names follows the more general orthographic rules. The unique names are spelled with a capital letter, regardless of the name type (metaphoric proper name, wordname, sign name, consisting of one or more morphemes): Kati, Gigant, Bivaly, Prüntyőke, Hruscsov Dízel, Matricás Taurus. The names which were created as acronyms, follow the ortography of acronyms: FLIRT, TRAXX, or the orthography of blends: Radony, Talent, Balcsi-Mot.
