Abstract

Írásomban a régi magyarországi prédikációk pusztasággal kapcsolatos alakzatait vizsgálom motívumtörténeti megközelítésben. A témakört ezért elsősorban a műfaj ismeretében az egyes prédikációkhoz kapcsolódó bibliai textusokhoz révén célszerű feldolgozni — a következőkben ismertetendő két, egymással szorosan összefüggő okból. | In my paper, I examine the forms of old Hungarian sermons related to the wilderness, employing a motif-historical approach. The topic is primarily explored through the biblical texts associated with each sermon, with careful consideration of their genre. It can be clearly seen that Peter Alvinczi tried to make the interpretation of desolation as wide as possible in his sermons for the Quadragesima Sunday. For his interpretations of desolation, he primarily used a collection of loci, explaining the concept of desolation from several different perspectives, including theological and allegorical ones. Thus, his explanation of the scripture gives us an insight of both the contemporary interpretation of the Psalter from a Biblical perspective and the genre and textual characteristics of Protestant sermons in the 17th century.
