Abstract
The integration of positive psychology into the educational process marks a significant shift in the approach of educators, emphasizing the development of students' best qualities. This approach focuses on fostering mental health in students of all ages by highlighting positive aspects of human life. Positive psychology, which has notably developed in the 21st century, encourages exploring the connections between its principles and education. Key themes include well-being, happiness, empathy, and optimism, which should be incorporated into teaching practices. The discipline does not ignore life's challenges but instead emphasizes the optimization of student and educational community functioning. Martin Seligman, a pioneer of positive psychology, advocates for a shift from focusing on negatives to enhancing life's positives, using existing psychological tools. Positive education prioritizes a supportive climate that fosters positive relationships and problem-solving skills among students. The book explores theoretical and practical aspects of integrating positive psychology into education, aiming to address societal needs. It presents positive education as a means to prepare students for future challenges through enhanced cognitive and emotional development.
