Abstract
Architects: Riken Yamamoto & Field Shop. Nagoya Zokei University of Art and Design, built over a metro station, features a bridgelike structure with a large open studio, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among its five reorganized disciplines. Overcoming structural challenges with steel trusses and hybrid truss walls, the design incorporates a central "art street" connecting libraries, galleries, and classrooms. Employing Yamamoto's "threshold" concept, the building acts as a spatial mediator, balancing public and private spaces to create a dynamic, community-engaged learning environment.
