Abstract

Acceptance of difference must start early in life. The family plays a big role in how accepting your children become. Later in life, nursery, kindergarten and then school provide the social environment in which children can internalise positive patterns. The most important factor for the acceptance of children with special educational needs is first of all a change of attitude. For children, informing and introducing children with special educational needs can help in their daily life in kindergarten. It is also important to develop a positive attitude in parents. It is easier for children to develop a positive attitude if they experience the situation of a child with special educational needs. Respect and understanding contribute to inclusion and to shaping society. It is important that society understands the different areas of disability. In this context, it is also desirable that pre-school teachers are trained in this respect; thus helping children with disabilities to integrate and become equal.
