Abstract
This study examines entrepreneurial intentions (EI) among university students in Laos, with a focuson the mediating role of perceived university support within the framework of the theory of plannedbehavior (TPB). Using a quantitative research design, data were collected from 318 final-yearundergraduate students at the National University of Laos (NUoL) through a structuredquestionnaire. Hypotheses were tested using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLSSEM) with mediation analysis in the SmartPLS.4 software. Findings reveal that attitude towardentrepreneurship, perceived behavioral control, and perceived university support significantly andpositively impact entrepreneurial intention. Moreover, perceived university support not onlyenhances intention directly, but also mediates the effects of subjective norms, attitude, and perceivedbehavioral control. These results have practical implications for policymakers and educationalinstitutions, suggesting that efforts to cultivate entrepreneurial intentions should prioritize enhancinguniversity support structures.
