Abstract
In the year 1570, eighteen settlements belonged to the demesne of Mukachevo Castle. Half of the settlements were recently established habitations. The author presents the names of the settlements, providing short explanations. Personal names of the inhabitants of the settlements are also enumerated. Special attention is given to rare Christian names and to the two nicknames appearing in the corpus. The author lists family names in alphabetical order, giving their probable contemporary pronunciations and meanings, and providing the names of the settlements to which the surnames belonged.
