Abstract
This paper presents the complete family name stocks of two villages of Bereg county (Sub-Carpathia, Ukraine). The categories of the classification are: I. Family names derived from the name of an ancestor, II. Family names referring to the place of origin, III. Family names referring to occupation, official post, and dignity, IV. Family names describing individual (physical, mental) characteristics, V. Other family names. Each category can be divided into several sub-categories.
