Abstract

A József-narratíva (Gen 37–50) nagyon emberi, mély érzelmeket mutató, drámai történet. A főszereplő önismereti fejlődését követhetjük nyomon benne, hogy miként áll készen a múltjával való szembesülésre, saját sorsával, a testvéreivel és apjával való megbékélésre. József nőies vonásai a családja és az ország iránti gondoskodásban mutatkoznak meg, karaktere mögött a Példabeszédek könyvéből ismerős megszemélyesített bölcsesség-nőalak (Péld 8) és a „derék asszony” (Péld 31) is ott húzódik. József hétszer sír a családjával való találkozás és kiengesztelődés folyamatában, ezek a mozzanatok a narratívában khiasztikus szerkesztést mutatnak. | The narrative of Joseph (Gen 37–50) is a very human, deeply emotional, dramatic story. We follow the protagonist’s development of self-awareness, his readiness to confront his past, to come to terms with his own fate, his brothers and his father. Joseph’s feminine traits are to be seen in his care for his family and for the country, and behind his character is the personification of the wisdom as woman from the book of Proverbs (Prov 8) and the ’wife of noble character’ in Prov 31. Joseph weeps seven times in the process of meeting and reconciling with his family, these moments show a chiastic editing in the narrative.
